About Us
Beer.
People.
Food.
We opened Uprise Brewing Co. in 2022 with a shared goal: to create a place where great beer, scratch-made food, and good people come together. We're a brewery and restaurant tucked into the West Central neighborhood of Spokane, just off the Centennial Trail and a few steps from Kendall Yards.
Uprise was founded by longtime industry people: Jonathan Sweatt, and brothers Ryan and Brandon Hare, brought together by a shared love for beer, food, art, and community.
We’re beer people. It might be a cliché, but brewing the highest quality beer possible is genuinely at the core of what we do. From recipe development to raw ingredients to how and where the beer ends up, we obsess over every detail. Head brewer Riley Elmer leads this vision with passion and creativity at its core. We focus on brewing modern, hop-forward styles like West Coast IPA, with a deep appreciation for finely crafted lagers. We’re always experimenting, always refining, and always aiming to make world-class beer.
Our kitchen follows the same approach. Food is not an afterthought. Everything is scratch-made, using fresh ingredients and a playful, seasonal mindset. Led by Chef Andrew Blakely, the menu offers bold comfort food alongside bright, fresh options, all designed to complement what’s in your glass.
We’ve built this space to be welcoming to all, a place to eat, drink, play, and live. It’s all in the details. We set out to design a space that breaks the mold of the traditional brewery. Our large indoor taproom is highlighted by modern lines, natural wood tones, and an abundance of greenery. Outside, a covered patio and turf lawn invite you to soak up Spokane’s summer days. Whether you're stopping in for a four-pack of our latest release or celebrating with friends and family, we aim to create a space that meets you where you are.
The word Uprise means “to stand up” or “to come into view.” It’s a verb, an action. We want to actively do our part to positively impact our city and community. We're proud to be part of Spokane’s growing creative and culinary scene, and even prouder to call this neighborhood home.
